About the Journal

Siyaq: Journal of Qur'anic Studies and Culture is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Institute for Religious Research and Development (LPPA) Summa Cendekia under the Decree of the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. AHU-012522.AH.01.30.Tahun 2025. The journal is dedicated to advancing the study of the Qur'an within historical, social, cultural, and civilizational contexts by publishing high-quality research articles, conceptual papers, and critical reviews that contribute to the development of Qur'anic Studies at both national and international levels.

Rather than concentrating on Qur'anic exegesis as its primary concern, Siyaq approaches the Qur'an as a living religious and cultural phenomenon. The journal welcomes contributions on Living Qur'an studies, Qur'anic reception, the transmission and preservation of the mushaf, Qur'anic manuscripts, codicology, philology, Qur'anic calligraphy, Qur'anic education, recitation and memorization traditions, Islamic intellectual heritage, Qur'anic literacy, digital Qur'anic culture, and the relationship between the Qur'an and society, local and global cultures, identity, and social transformation.

As an open academic forum, Siyaq encourages the exchange of scholarly ideas, research findings, and critical discussions on the social and cultural life of the Qur'an across different regions and civilizations. The journal promotes multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches that enrich the understanding of how the Qur'an has been received, practiced, transmitted, preserved, and represented throughout the Muslim world.
